About Our Institute
Al Imam Abdul Azeez Bin Baz Institute for Girls, located in Malwana, Sri Lanka, is a well-established Islamic educational institution founded in 1999 (1420 AH) to meet the growing need for authentic religious education for women.
The institute was established with the noble aim of educating Muslim women in sound Islamic knowledge, correcting misconceptions, and preparing a generation of mothers, teachers, and da‘iyahs who can contribute positively to society.
Originally founded as a small college for girls by Sheikha Umm Rima Shahrowan with the support of her family, the institution was later renamed in honor of the late scholar Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz (رحمه الله). What began in a modest rented building has since developed into a recognized center of learning, supported by generous contributions from international donors and institutions.
